POSSIBLE CAUSES:

  • Increased amounts of moisture through the wall or concrete slab
  • Increased amounts of moisture due to increased water vapor occurring in bathrooms and kitchens
  • Increased amounts of moisture due to insufficient ventilation

TREATMENT:

  • Identify and repair the cause that creates moisture penetration
  • Remove all loose plaster, using a chisel or a scraper
  • Clean all surfaces using anti-mold spray to kill microorganisms
  • Prime all surfaces using micromolar stabilizer
  • Paint all surfaces using fungi and mold resistance paint (two coats)
  • Ensure good ventilation of the space
